In the story the family did not live happily ever after. I say this because in the story Anna told her school everything that happened with the cops in Denver. She talked about how they went to a witness protection program and how they changed their names. One of the rules of the witness protection program is that you can never tell anyone anything about what happened to the family. But Anna broke the rules and told everything. I also said that they wouldn't live happily ever because Anna told everything by breaking the rules they would probably get found and go to jail. Also the father is unhappy he tried to commit suicide but making a huge slice on his arm. Therefore they will not live happily ever after.
